Preparations for Ganesh Puja are going on with great pomp in Maharashtra. GSB Seva Mandal has installed the most expensive Ganesh idol for the Ganpati Festival starting tomorrow i.e. on 19th September. It is known as the richest mandal of Mumbai. This time the board has showered gold and silver for Ganpati Festival.
This idol of Lord Ganesha is made of 69 kg gold and 336 kg silver. A representative of the board told the media that they have also taken insurance of Rs 360.45 crore. He further said, ‘We welcome all Ganesh devotees here. This year we are going to celebrate the 69th Ganesh Utsav. In this idol of Ganesha, a pendant of 36 kg silver and 250 grams gold has also been made.’
The representative said, ‘On September 20, we will perform a special havan for the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya. And on September 19, a special havan is also going to be performed for the success of Chandrayaan-3.’ He said that this time facial recognition will be installed for the safety of the Ganesha idol. We are using high density cameras for surveillance. Footfall will also be counted.’
