Maharashtra: Children Trafficking Case Exposed, RPF And GRP Rescued 59 Children

RPF and GRP have rescued 59 children being smuggled from Bihar in Bhusaval, Maharashtra. This action has been taken jointly by Bhusaval and Manmad police. In fact, Bhusaval RPF police succeeded in rescuing 59 children from Purnia district of Bihar state when they were being smuggled to Madrasa located in Sangli of Bhusaval and Manmad stations.

These children have been sent to child protection homes in Jalgaon and Nashik and are being looked after. Divisional Security Commissioner Srinivasa Rao said the concerned children would be handed over to their parents after due legal process.

Joint team of RPF, GRP police took action on the information of child trafficking in Danapur-Pune Express train number 01040. In Bhusaval, with the help of a social organization, a thorough investigation of the Sadar Express was done at the station. During this, the police detained 29 children in the age group of 8 to 15 years from different bogies. All these children were dropped at the railway station and a suspect accompanying them was arrested and brought to the police station.

Police investigation was going on in Sadar Express. During further investigation, 30 more children and 4 suspected traffickers were identified in the search operation till Manmad. They were detained at Manmad station. 29 children from Bhusaval were sent to Child Care Home Jalgaon for care and 30 children from Manmad were also sent to Child Care Home Nashik.

In the Further investigation, the police found that these children were being trafficked from Purnia district of Bihar state to Sangli in the name of Madrasa. Medical of these children has been done. A case has been registered against the five suspected smugglers at Bhusaval and Manmad police stations.
