Maharashtra: A container driver is missing with container carrying goods worth more than one crore rupees. A case of misappropriation has been registered in Thane district after a container carrying electronic gadgets and other valuables worth Rs 1.10 crore went missing along with its driver. Police gave information about this.
The police Officer said that the Narpoli police on Thursday registered a first information report (FIR) against Rafiq Mehboob, a resident of Mathura, under IPC section 407 (Whoever is entrusted with property as a carrier commits criminal breach of trust in respect of such property).
The police Officer that a transporter company had entrusted the accused driver with the task of carrying a container of electronic gadgets and goods including iPads, iPhones and laptops from Ahmedabad to Sagar Complex in Bhiwandi in Thane district on August 17. But the truck did not reach the destination the next day and the driver could not be traced, the police official said.
