Maharashtra: Man Allegedly Killed Woman With Stone After She Was Stopped Him Entering In The Farm

A 55-year-old woman was allegedly pelted with a stone by a man after a dispute in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The police gave this information on Thursday. Police said the incident took place in Wada taluka in Tuesday-Wednesday night and efforts are on to nab the 38-year-old accused.

Sub-inspector Dilip Pawar of Wada police station said that earlier also the man, involved in several criminal incidents, tried to enter a farm where the woman and her 76-year-old mother worked on Tuesday. Both of them and other villagers objected to this. When the woman was asleep, the accused went to the field and allegedly killed her by attacking her with a big stone, the officer said.

Some people saw the body of the woman in a room in the field on Wednesday and informed the police, he said. He told that the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Based on the complaint of the woman’s mother, a case has been registered against the accused under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPS), police said.
