Maharashtra: Manoj Jarange, The Face Of Maratha Movement Said – We Will Not Stop, We Want Reservation In OBC Quota

Manoj Jarange Patil is fasting with the demand of reservation for the Maratha community has created a stir in Maharashtra. Under his leadership once again the movement for Maratha reservation is going on in Jalna district from 27th August. His agitation led to violence in some parts of the state including Jalna. There is a lot of anger in the Maratha community after the clash between the supporters of Manoj Jarange Patil and the Jalna police last Friday. However, Patil is on fast with his demand. During this, he said in the conversation that for the last 40 years we have been keeping faith in the government.

He said, “When they are in the opposition, they say that they will give reservation when they come to power, but they change after coming to power. We want our rights. We come in OBC. Our Maratha society belongs to Kunbi society. who is OBC. We will not stop on assurances this time. Will continue with reservation. Can’t wait any longer. Our children are committing suicide. We will not stop. Reservation is the right of the poor. We are poor farming people If you don’t give reservation to the poor, then will you give it to the rich? We want reservation in OBC quota. The Supreme Court case is different.”

Manoj Jarange Patil said, “I will continue with the ordinance. Respecting the government, I drank water, but if I do not get the GR till this evening, I will leave the water. Our people have sent them to power. They will have to give reservation. Now it is the responsibility of the government to solve this issue. Why our people were fired upon. Fadnavis has apologised. Now the issue is over as Fadnavis has apologised. Those who did the violence are not our agitators, A case has been registered against our children.”
