This morning there was a stir as soon as a call was received in the police control room. The caller said that there are going to be bomb blasts in Mumbai and Pune. On hearing which the Mumbai Police broke into sweat. Taking the caller’s matter seriously, the police came into alert mode. At the same time, the caller who called the police also claimed that if he gets Rs 2 lakh, he can stop these blasts. After this the police started tracing the caller. Investigation revealed that the caller is a resident of UP. Police sources gave this information.
Mumbai Police sources further said that an unknown call was received at 10 am yesterday, in which the caller told the police control that there would be a bomb blast in Andheri and Kurla areas of Mumbai at 6:30 pm on June 24. After which the police came in alert mode. The source further said that the caller further claimed that if he gets Rs 2 lakh, he can stop the blasts. According to the information, the caller claimed that there are going to be bomb blasts in Pune as well and he himself is getting these blasts done for which he has got Rs 2 crore and if he gets another Rs 2 lakh then these bomb blasts will not happen and he will go to Malaysia with his men.
Police engaged in investigation
Police sources said that there was a stir after this call and during the investigation, the police came to know that the caller is a resident of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a case under sections 505(1)(B), 505(2) and 185 of the IPC in this matter and are probing the matter.
