The Shiv Sena, which is part of the Eknath Shinde faction in Maharashtra, issued an advertisement in various newspapers on Tuesday. Eknath Shinde is preferred over BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis, quoting the headline Modi for India, Shinde for Maharashtra.
Seeing this advertisement, Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT) has called it Shiv Sena of Modi-Shah. The ad has a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde with Shiv Sena’s symbol of bow and arrow. However, the advertisement did not carry the picture of late Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena.
The figures of this advertisement are showing that 26.1 percent people of Maharashtra want to see Eknath Shinde in the Chief Minister’s chair, while 23.2 percent people want to see Devendra Padnavis. There is no denying the fact that 49.3 percent people of Maharashtra want to see a BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government.
The figures and claims released in this advertisement have been taken by the media organization. It was told through the advertisement that according to the election survey, 30.2 percent of the people of Maharashtra like BJP while 16.2 percent like Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde). These figures show that 46.4 per cent people trust the alliance of BJP and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena for the development of the state.
Sanjay Raut said Modi-Shah’s Shiv Sena
Responding to this advertisement, Uddhav Thackeray faction Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut called it Modi-Shah Shiv Sena. He said- ‘Earlier it was Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena, but this advertisement has told that now it is Modi-Shah’s Shiv Sena. Where is the picture of late Balasaheb Thackeray in the advertisement?
BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule defended the ad, saying- ‘Election results decide which party or leader the voters have elected. Shinde was earlier known as a cabinet leader, but now his acceptance has increased. The people of Maharashtra have high hopes from Fadnavis, Shinde and Modi.
He said that being a state level leader, the people gave Fadnavis two chances. There is no competition between BJP and Shiv Sena here.
Congress spokesperson said fake survey
Atul Londhe, the chief spokesperson of the Maharashtra unit of the Congress, has accused Eknath Shinde of promoting himself, calling it a fake survey. He said- ‘Once this election is over, Mahavikas Aghadi Dal will win more than 42 seats in the Lok Sabha and 200 seats in the assembly elections. A new story will be written, which will be called ‘Ek Tha Shinde’.
Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats and 288 assembly constituencies. The Maha Vikas Aghadi, Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and NCP have claimed that they will fight the elections with maximum coordination.
