There has been a period of ups and downs in the politics of Maharashtra for some time now. There doesn’t seem to be any possibility of it calming down for some time to come. On one hand, the leaders of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav faction and Shinde faction make statements at each other, while on the other hand, Sharad-Ajit faction of NCP also keep attacking each other. At the same time, now news has come that Sharad Pawar camp has intensified the action against Ajit Pawar faction.

Sharad Pawar camp has intensified the legal battle against Ajit Pawar’s rebellion and the Assembly MLAs and Legislative Council members supporting him. On behalf of Sharad faction, two petitions have been filed with Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe. The first petition has been given by Maharashtra President of Sharad Pawar faction, Jayant Patil. Schedule 10 has been mentioned in this petition and under it, a demand has been made to cancel the membership of Nationalist Congress Legislative Council members Vikram Kale, Amol Mitkari, Satish Chavan, Aniket Tatkare.

The second petition has been made by Sharad faction leader Jitendra Awhad. In this petition, according to Schedule 10, a demand has been made to cancel the membership of Legislative Council member Ram Raje Naik Nimbalkar. The petition has been sent to the Law Division Secretary for review. Now all these members will be given time by the Legislature Secretary to present their views.

A 500-page reply has also been filed with the Central Election Commission on behalf of the Sharad Pawar faction. In this reply, Sharad faction has clearly said that 39 MLAs including Ajit Pawar who are part of their faction should be declared ineligible.
