A 17-year-old boy and his companion were killed in an accident in Maharashtra’s Thane district after they traveled in a vehicle given to the child’s parents, according to police. According to an Ambernath police officer, a vehicle collided with a tree on the Ulhasnagar-Ambernath road on Tuesday night. A 17-year-old youth and his companion died in this accident. He was out driving when the vehicle they were in collided with a tree, hurting both of them, according to his 18-year-old companion. The official said that the two were taken to a hospital where medical staff pronounced them dead. The police noted that a case of accidental death was filed after the remains were sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating further in this matter.
