Maharashtra: Thieves Broke ATM, Returned Empty Handed After Not Getting Cash; Police Registered The Case

Some thieves broke into an automated teller machine (ATM) of a nationalized bank near Maharashtra’s Palghar town in the early hours of Saturday, but had to return empty-handed as there was no cash inside. Police gave information about this. Police has registered the case and started investigation.

Police said that the incident took place in Maswan village of Palghar taluka. Some miscreants barged into the ATM kiosk of a nationalized bank around 2 am, said an officer from Manor police station. They not only broke the ATM box, but also damaged the CCTV camera installed inside the room.

Police further informed that, however, they could not take anything from the ATM as there was no cash in it. Some repair work was going on in the machine. That’s why he didn’t have cash. The police officer said that a case has been registered against the accused, who are yet to be identified. Police is taking action to nab the thieves on the basis of CCTV footage.
