The Himachali immigrant community living in the UK has been asked by the state’s chief minister to work to promote investment in the tourist industry and other fields.
Sukhu said the state government was adopting creative measures in the spheres of education, health, and information technology while speaking with leaders of the British Himachal Society located in the UK on Sunday night via video conference, according to a statement released here on Monday.
Avneesh and Ritu, who represented the society, informed the chief minister of the different initiatives the group was carrying out, it was said. They said that the Society in London also observed the 76th Himachal Day and that it was working actively to promote the state’s rich cultural heritage.
