An official said on Thursday that police had filed a complaint against a 19-year-old guy from Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra for allegedly repeatedly raping and impregnating a young girl.
According to him, the incident against the 17-year-old girl happened between April and August of this year.
The girl said in her complaint that the accused, a resident of Kamothe in the Raigad district, led her to a remote location on the Palm Beach Road in Nerul where he first molested her sexually.
The official said that between April and August of this year, he continued to violate her.
He noted that the victim is now two months pregnant.
In response to the allegation, a case was filed against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 (2) (n) (repeated rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, according to the police, who also said that an investigation was ongoing.
