At their home in Maharashtra’s Thane district, a 23-year-old man is accused of trying to strangle his wife to death after a little quarrel, according to police officer on Saturday.
Sub-inspector G R Babad of the Manpada police station said that on Friday, the police filed a complaint against Kushal Bajirao Jadhav for the October 16 incident that happened in the Hajimalang Road area of Kalyan.
The accused, who was jobless, reportedly attempted to hang his 19-year-old wife from a ceiling fan on the day of the assault using a rope. He also claimed that he and his wife had a regular arguments.
The official said that the accused reportedly choked the victim many times before releasing go of her. He said that a search had been started for the fugitive culprit and that the lady had been transported for a medical test. The FIR was filed after the reports came in.
