Man’s Organ Donation Saves 11 Lives in Virar Car Accident Tragedy :
A man from Virar in the Palghar district saved 11 lives through organ donation after his death in a car accident. Saket Dandvate’s parents made the decision to donate his organs after he passed away in a road accident near Bengaluru. The donation will benefit at least 11 individuals, according to Dr Santosh Kadam, Maharashtra Secretary of the Indian Medical Association. Saket’s father, Dr Vineet Dandavate, who is also an IMA official, and his wife Apurva, gave their consent for the organ donation. In a similar incident in Kerala, a 16-year-old student who died in a road accident saved six lives through organ donation.
