On the last day of contests on Friday, Indian Martina Devi earned a silver medal in the women’s over 81 kg young category at the Asian young and Junior Weightlifting Championships.
Devi placed second in the youth division of the championships with a total lift of 218 kg (95 + 123).
Lolakhona Abdurashidova of Uzbekistan won the bronze medal with a lift of 193 kg (83 + 110), while Thi Hien Tran of Vietnam earned the gold with a total lift of 224 kg (100 + 124).
The championships’ last two competitions, men’s 109kg and +109kg, will take place on Saturday.
