If you do something once, it is a mistake. If you do it the second time, it could be a coincidence. But if you do it repeatedly, it’s a criminal act. It is high time Uddhav Thackeray carries out an introspection drive to analyse the mistakes that he and his party people are doing regularly which cannot be considered coincidences anymore. While it is a personal duty to introspect and do a SWOT analysis of political and personal progress. One highlighting factor that has shattered Uddhav Thackrey’s image, is his party members who act without contemplating consequences. All seem to have the power to speak without taking any cue from the boss. That makes people wonder who is the actual boss. Of Uddhav Thackeray’s party. Sharad Pawar, NCP chief was considered to have influenced Udhhav Thackeray to change his political ideology and deconstruct the fibre of his party but that does not seem to be the case. Uddhav Thackery is struggling alone with his son Aditya to reconstruct his dilapidated party structure. Children without parental guidance and political party members without a strong boss act similarly. That is what is one of the major debacles of the Udhhav Thackeray party.
His employees mistreating women and using indecent language are the most unaccepted factors of it all. Females are considered weak and vulnerable in the Indian patriarchal society but it’s proven time and again that disrespect of women has destroyed empires. History is proof of the same. All those who did it had a very bad ending. However, some learn from their mistakes and some do not have any bandwidth for learning. They only repeat. There is one gentleman in the political ecology who believes in being the talk of the town either by his meaningless banter or by belittling women on personal and social platforms. The one thing he has been consistent about is being abusive and inconsiderate towards females. Using editorials to celebrate bulldozing of a female actor’s house, abusing women over calls at an average of 5 cuss words per sentence, making obscene comments on women ministers and publically joking about morphed videos of women in politics, have been his profile. His range of disrespect has been unbelievable when it comes to women. Out of countless such stunts to demean women, the latest one isn’t worth ignoring. A case has been registered against Thackeray group MP Sanjay Raut in Barshi in Solapur in connection with the disclosure of the identity of the minor rape victim. It is insensitive to outrage a woman’s modesty by posting her compromised pictures to derive one-minute fame and is also an offence. While a Member of Parliament feels that he has a safety net from crimes because of his diplomatic status, the ball is in the Shinde-Fadnavis government’s court to take strict action against this act and pass on a strong message to powerful people to behave themselves socially. Letting go of such crimes will surely empower many to misbehave in the same manner in future.
Speaking to the media every day to be seen on television can be a promotional plan and it may work in favour of an individual but if it is pulling the party down every time, it could be termed a wrong political strategy. But if pulling down Udhhav Thackeray is the strategy then all is going as planned. Exactly when Uddhav Thackeray needs maximum support the bounce back, there are some elements around him always trying to create roadblocks and twists for him. Strategy and communication of political parties have to be common and should be imbibed by all uniformly. While it’s obvious that the content to be put out on loudspeakers has to be discussed with the head of the party, the situation seems otherwise here. The mouthpiece Dainik Saamna of Uddhav Thackeray does not seem to be in his control like the executive editor of the entity. Both
Attempts to take charge of the situation may have failed in past, but Uddhav Thackeray should stop some people from speaking mindlessly in media and creating more blunders and difficulties for his party. It’s not just the party but a complete future of Aditya Thackeray that’s at stake. As it is said, you are known by the company you keep, it’s time there is realisation of all that’s lost in wrong company. While NCP sucked up a whole party that Balasaheb Thackeray spent his whole life building up, agents of NCP have work in progress to take it to dust completely. The upcoming elections will be like running to survive for the Udhhav clan. It’s time to shut all morning loudspeakers and have regular internal talks to stay in the game. Thackeray’s must have seen many loses and wins in their lifetime but Maharashtra is a witness to how one loudspeaker can cost a complete fortune.
