Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, received a death threat via email on Friday, October 27. According to news agency ANI, the messengers threatened to shoot him if he didn’t pay Rs 20 crores. A complaint filed at Mumbai’s Gamdevi Police Station under sections 387 and 506 (2) IPC.
This occurs a few days after calls threatening to murder Mukesh Ambani and his family were made to a hospital managed by the Reliance Foundation earlier this month.
Mumbai police said that on October 27, Ambani received a threatening email from a person named Shadab Khan. The mailer threatened to murder him if he did not pay the stipulated amount of Rs 20 crores.
The threat email threatened to murder you, claiming to have the greatest shooters in India, if you didn’t pay us 20 crore rupees.
Ambani’s security staff reported the email to the Mumbai police and a case was opened once they discovered it.
The Mumbai police have initiated an inquiry and filed a complaint under sections 387 and 506 (2) of the IPC against an unidentified individual.
