According to the police on Saturday, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, got a death threat threatening to kill him if he did not pay Rs 20 crores. We got the email on Friday, October 27, about the threat.
Sections 387 and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were used to lodge a complaint in Mumbai’s Gamdevi PS shortly after the issue was made public, according to police.
An unidentified caller threatened to blow up the hospital and gave the Ambani family a similar death threat in October. Additionally, threats were made in the names of some Ambani family members by the caller.
“A call was received on the landline number of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital at 12.57 PM today from an unknown number in which the caller threatened to blow up the Hospital and issued threats in the name of some members of the Ambani family,” Mumbai Police said.
