At a municipal government boys’ dormitory, a female chef was reportedly the victim of groping by a post-graduate student, age 26. Reports claim that on August 14, when visiting friends who stay at the hostel, the accused, named as Avinash Bansode, who is now at large, chose to remain an extra night.
The 25-year-old victim, a chef for the hostel, resided on the first level of the structure with her mother-in-law and two kids.
A report claims that at approximately three in the morning, Bansode reportedly unlocked the woman’s sliding windows, went inside, and started touching her inappropriately while she was sleeping. With a start, the lady roused up and rang the alarm.
When guests at the hostel gathered and grabbed hold of Bansode, he attempted to get away. He was about to be turned over to the police, but he was able to escape and leave the hostel grounds.
During the battle with his captors, the accused dropped his mobile phone, which was eventually turned over to the police.
A senior police official said, “We have filed a case against Bansode under sections 354 and 452 of the IPC.”
