Corona Virus Update: The number of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai increased by five on Wednesday, bringing the total to 11,63,992, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). A BMC bulletin said that while no more fatalities attributable to the virus were reported in the city, the death toll remained at 19,775 as of this writing.
The city had recorded five Covid-19 cases and no fatalities the day before. According to the announcement, 886 tests were carried out in the city, bringing their total to 1,89,05,322. After two additional people recovered from the ailment in the past 24 hours, the city now has 25 active cases, bringing the total number of recoveries to 11,44,192.
