The Mumbai Police has arrested two bike riders for bike racing on the Western Express Highway in Mumbai. However, when the police confiscated their bikes and investigated further, they were shocked. Actually, both these racers were using the stolen bikes.
The accused have been identified as 29 year old Salman Khan and Ashfaq Iqbal Shaikh. Police have recovered 11 mobile phones and four bikes from their hideout. Three of the bikes are sports bikes.
Talking to the media about the case, Police sub-inspector Vishal Palande said that during investigation it was found that cases were registered against both of them in several other police stations including Thane and Palghar districts. The police arrested them under other sections including section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code. After this they were produced in the court. The court has sent both of them to police custody. The police has started further investigation.
