Northeast Delhi Police Discover A Murdered Elderly Couple

In their home in the Gokalpuri neighbourhood of northeast Delhi, a senior couple was discovered on Monday morning with their throats cut, according to police.

The residence of Radhey Shyam Verma (72) and his wife Veena (68) was also discovered to be looted, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast), Joy Tirkey.

 

The home’s son Ravi Rattan, his wife, and their six-year-old boy resided on the first floor, while the elderly couple stayed on the ground level.

 

As vice-principal of the Delhi government school Karol Bagh, Radhey Shyam had retired. According to the DCP, the family has resided in the home for the last 38 years.

 

Police said that the house’s lost items include some jewellery and Rs. 4.5 lakh.

 

According to Tirkey, Radhey Shyam just received a Rs. 5 lakh advance to sell the home’s back yard.

 

Rattan hadn’t seen his parents since Sunday night about 10:30 p.m.
