Thane: A gang attacked a mutton shop in Dhokali area of Thane and beat him to death for not giving his address. The shopkeeper survived the attack. But the CCTV footage of this attack has gone viral. Prosecutor Ashpak Shaikh (21) rushed to Kapurbavdi police station and registered a case regarding this fatal attack. The police have investigated the matter and arrested 2 persons. Other accused in this case are still absconding. Kapurbavdi police are searching for them.
According to the information received, the plaintiff Ashpak Yunus Shaikh (21), who lives in Vartaknagar Bhimnagar area of Thane, has a mutton shop near Dhokali TMC School in Kapurbavdi police station limits. The accused Sohail Qureshi, Ashish Jaiswal and their 7 to 8 associates came to the mutton shop on four motorcycles on the day of the incident on Wednesday around 8.30 pm. The accused asked the prosecutor for the address of Sohail Shaikh. When the shopkeeper refused to give the address, Sohail Qureshi abused Ashpak.
Ashish Jaiswal, who came with Sohail, tried to hit Ashpak on the head with an iron crowbar, threatening that “You don’t tell the address of Sohail Sheikh, now I will murder you.” Ashpak saved that blow. Meanwhile, Ashpak’s penalty was struck. Scared, Ashpak tried to run out of the shop. But Sohail Qureshi and his accomplices chased Ashpak and caught him and beat him severely with kicks. The crime took place around 4 am on Thursday. After this, a case of attempt to murder was registered against the accused.
The CCTV of this case has been taken into the hands of Kapurbawdi police. With the help of this CCTV, the Kapurbavdi police immediately turned around and started searching for the accused by conducting a technical investigation. 2 people of this gang were chained. Police said Sohail, a minor accused, had an argument with Ashpak, a mutton shopkeeper, in a mutton shop. Ashpak slapped him. In order to avenge this anger, Sohail calls his friends to teach Ashpak a lesson. Angered by the killing of his friend, 7 to 8 men attacked Ashpak’s shop to kill him and strike fear into his mind. One of them had a coyote. Jo entered the shop and stabbed him.
