Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), attacked the opposition parties on Sunday in response to the most recent political development in Maharashtra, claiming that the Congress still awards certificates of secularism despite senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Praful Patel joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) just days after attending the opposition leaders’ meeting in Patna. Owaisi stated the opposition parties are protesting the NCP’s split while speaking to a crowd in the election-bound state of Rajasthan. He also questioned if “buying” four AIMIM MLAs in Bihar was the appropriate decision.
“An opposition gathering was convened in Patna, and today Praful Patel joined the BJP (led administration), whom Sharad Pawar had invited to the meeting. Congress nevertheless issues secularism certifications. Owaisi added that Congress should look in the mirror and see how they had deceived.
“Today, every opposition party leader is accusing the BJP of destroying the NCP in the media. What is wrong if 40 MLAs resigned today, and what is right if you purchased our four MLAs in Bihar? Owaisi posed a rhetorical question.
Two uprisings that altered the political landscape of Maharashtra
Ajit Pawar’s decision to join the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition in Maharashtra has drawn criticism from AIMIM leader Waris Pathan, who also said that the NCP has evolved into the BJP’s B squad in the state. According to Waris Pathan, “BJP is a washing machine” and everyone who enters it is exonerated of all of his sins.
“Ajit (Pawar) visited Fadnavis once again. A total of 30 MLAs accompanied him. To get power, they will do anything. In Maharashtra, the NCP has evolved into the BJP’s backup plan. Perhaps Sharad Pawar desired the same thing. The BJP is like a washer and dryer. How will the 70,000 crore fraud be resolved? The NCP is the most corrupt party, according to what PM Modi declared to his party members two days ago. Maharashtrians are paying attention, according to AIMIM National Spokesperson Waris Pathan.
On Sunday afternoon, NCP leader Ajit Pawar took the oath of office as Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister. The National Democratic Alliance administration in the state now includes eight more lawmakers from that party.
