People Sought PM Modi’s Charm, Not His Education: Ajit Pawar

Share

Ajit Pawar, a senior member of the Nationalist Congress Party, asserted that the BJP’s victory in the 2014 election was due in large part to the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that the country’s pressing problems of inflation and youth employment outweigh the PM’s educational background. Pawar’s remarks contrasted with those of Shiv Sena (UBT), an ally, whose leader Sanjay Raut had suggested that PM Modi come up and disclose his educational background and that his degree should be placed at the Parliament building’s entrance. When asked about the Opposition bringing up the PM’s educational background, Pawar responded on Monday to reporters by asking whether voters in the 2014 (general election) chose him (Modi) based on his degree. He instilled charm in 2014 that the BJP lacked from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Narendra Modi saheb should get all of the credit for this.”

Importantly, the Gujarat High Court overturned a Central Information Commission (CIC) ruling demanding the Gujarat University to provide Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, information about PM Modi’s degree last week. Judge Biren Vaishnav allowed the Gujarat University’s appeal against the CIC judgement while also charging Kejriwal a fee of Rs 25,000. What is there about the degree, Pawar questioned? The majority in Parliament has until far been seen as significant in our democracy. The chief is whomever has a majority of the 543 Lok Sabha seats. In our state, the chief minister is determined by who wins 145–146 Assembly members (out of a total of 288).”

The opposition leader in the Maharashtra Legislature said that although one requires an MBBS or other comparable degree to practise medicine, this is not the case in politics. “Modi has nine years of experience serving as the nation’s representative. I’ve seen that questions about his or another minister’s (educational) background are brought up. Inflation and unemployment are the main concerns, according to Pawar, and it is not a significant problem. LPG cylinders and other necessities are becoming more expensive. He also mentioned the concerns of youth, the announcement to fill 75,000 positions in different state agencies, and the concerns of farmers and workers, saying that nobody wants to talk about it. “The NCP leader said that the subject of Modi’s educational background shouldn’t be given any weight at all.
