RPF Constable Chetan Singh is accused of shooting and killing four people on board a Jaipur-Mumbai express train, however his claimed hateful remarks, which were captured on camera, are not included in the police’s remand form, which asks for his detention. Instead, the copy listed the constable’s poor health as the primary reason for requesting custody.

On Monday, the police officer who was in charge of the escort fired 12 shots from his automatic service weapon inside the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express. The Government Railway Police (GRP), Borivali is looking into the incident, according to a statement from the Ministry of Railways, in response to media claims that the policeman had “abnormal hallucinations” and was diagnosed with a major anxiety illness. The comment was eventually retracted that day, however. Instead, it said that the RPF constable’s most recent periodic medical test revealed no signs of a mental disorder.

After the event, a video that seemed to show the accused policeman standing close to dead corpses and ostensibly defending the murders emerged and quickly became popular on social media.

“Pakistan se operate hue hain, tumhari media, yahi media coverage dikha rahi hai hai, pata chal raha hai unko, sab pata chal raha hai, inke aaqa hai wahan,” he reportedly stated. According to a story by The Wire, “Modi aur Yogi, ye do hain, aur aapke Thackeray, toh mai kehta hoon, agar vote dena hai, agar Hindustan me rehna hai.”

(‘They have discovered, they know everything, and their leaders are there. They operate out of Pakistan, as shown by the country’s media. Modi and Yogi are the two to support if you want to vote and live in India, along with Thackeray.

These remarks were not included in the police remand document used to request Singh’s detention, according to a report by LiveLaw. According to the article, neither the remand copy nor the FIR make reference to these claims, nor have the police said they are looking into “possible communal violence” as a possible cause.

In order to assess Singh’s mental state, identify the chain of events leading up to the occurrence, and discover the crime’s motivation, his detention was requested.
