Mumbai: The Mumbai Police has succeeded in arresting the youth who raped a woman and fled to Bihar a few days ago. This young man had switched off his mobile phone while leaving Mumbai. Therefore, the police did not have to find the exact whereabouts of this young man. However, one mistake of this young man was detected by the Mumbai police and he went to Bihar and the smile of this young man turned up. The young man was hiding in his sister’s house in Bihar’s Darbhanga district. It was almost impossible to trace him. However, the Mumbai Police, who are famous for finding any criminal even from the underworld, managed to trap this young man.
According to the police, on May 8, a young woman from South Mumbai went to the police with a complaint. A young man who got to know from social media cheated us by showing us the lure of marriage. Physical relationship was established between these two. Due to this, the girl concerned became pregnant. However, the young man forced her to have an abortion, the young woman told the police. Based on that, the police registered a case and started investigation. After registering the case, the police went to find the young man at the address given by the young woman.
However, by then this young man had run away. Since this young man’s mobile phone was a switch, it was not possible to locate him exactly where he was. So the police checked the call records of this young man and traced his relatives. At that time information came to light that this young man is from Bihar. It was also learned that the young man’s sister lives in Darbhanga district. The young man’s mother lived in the neighboring village of his sister. As this area is near the border, the police suspected that the youth had fled to Nepal. However, on May 11, a team of Mumbai Police reached Darbhanga.
After the Mumbai Police reached Darbhanga, they first approached the house where the youth’s sister lived.
However, the police did not enter the house as they were not sure whether the young man was there or not. If we had gone to the house earlier, the young man was afraid that he would run away. So we decided to stay there and wait. On May 12, a Mumbai Police team was conducting surveillance at the sister’s house in Darbhanga. At that time, a constable from Mumbai went to the bank where the young man had an account. From there, the police got the bank account details of the youth. On the afternoon of May 12, the police got the details of the bank account. It showed that the last online transaction was done in a salon. An online UPI payment of Rs.50 was made from this bank account.
The salon to which the money was sent was located in Darbhanga. Later, when the Mumbai Police contacted the owner of the salon concerned, it was revealed that the shop was just 50 meters away from the house of the accused youth’s sister. After that, the police went to the concerned salon and showed the photograph of the accused youth to the barber. After everything was confirmed, the police went to the accused youth’s sister’s house on the same night and detained the youth. When the police brought him to Mumbai and showed him the vignettes, the young man confessed to his crime.
