Crystal Palace has selected Roy Hodgson as their interim manager till the conclusion of the Premier League season.
The club announced on Tuesday that the 75-year-old former manager of England would take Patrick Vieira’s position at Selhurst Park after the latter’s dismissal on Friday.
Hodgson, who oversaw the Eagles from 2017 to 2021, will have Paddy McCarthy as his assistant and Ray Lewington back as his first-team coach.
The season-long management of Crystal Palace has been given to Roy Hodgson.
Ray Lewington will take over as first-team coach, while Paddy McCarthy will serve as his assistant manager.
Goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely is still employed in that capacity.

After a 12-match losing streak, Hodgson takes over his childhood club with Palace in 12th position in the Premier League, three points above the relegation zone.
The former Liverpool and Fulham manager, Hodgson, stated on the Palace website, “It is a honour to be asked to return to the club, which has always meant so much to me, and to be given the critical duty of turning the team’s fortunes around.
“At this stage, winning games and accumulating the required points to secure our Premier League position are our only goals.”
