Fadnavis attributed this concerning trend to the consumption of addictive substances like Gutkha, Mava, and Khara, which are often marketed under different names. Despite efforts by the government to raise awareness, the desired impact has not been achieved. However, Fadnavis expressed confidence in Tendulkar’s ability to make a significant difference, citing the youth’s admiration and love for the cricketing icon. Fadnavis emphasized that Tendulkar’s influence, combined with his personal commitment to not endorse such products, makes him an ideal choice for the campaign.
