autobiography ‘Lok Majhe Saangaati’. Mumbai: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar announced that he has decided to quit as party chief in a party meeting, on Tuesday. “I have decided to step down as NCP president,” he has also written in his updated autobiography. A revised version of Pawar’s Marathi autobiography ‘Lok Majhe Saangaati’, which includes developments post-2015, was being released here. Pawar’s daughter and party MP Supriya Sule made this announcement in a a Facebook post. Sule had said the programme will be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in south Mumbai. She said the revised book will have interesting details about the four term Maharashtra Chief Minister Pawar’s life after 2015.Pawar who served as Union Defence and Agriculture minister had published his autobiography ‘On My Terms’ in English. He was instrumental in stitching together an unlikely coalition of the NCP, Congress and then ideologically opposite Shiv Sena to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government after the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections. The coalition was brought down by the BJP by installing Eknath Shinde as the Chief Minister and ending the tenure of Uddhav Thackeray as CM.
