A massive explosion has come to light in a factory located in Thane, Maharashtra. The explosion was so severe that two people died on the spot. 5 people are said to be injured in the incident. The police is investigating the matter
The blast occurred in the factory when the work of filling nitrogen gas containers was going on. Thane Municipal Corporation said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
Thane Municipal Corporation officials said that the explosion occurred in a factory in the industrial area. At the same time, the police said that a tanker of nitrogen gas was brought to the company, which was to be filled with CS2 (carbon disulfide) and the tanker exploded during inspection.
Officials said that the people injured in the incident have been taken to different hospitals and admitted. He said that the condition of some of them remains critical and they have been sent to ICU. According to sources, it is not yet clear how many people were present there when the blast occurred.
