Contrary to common belief, Maharashtra’s most well-known street food topped TasteAtlas’ list of the “10 Worst Rated Indian Street Foods.” TasteAtlas is a website that offers recipes, restaurant reviews, and other food-related information. The ranking was compiled using 2,508 ratings, of which 1,773 were accepted as valid by the algorithm, according to TasteAtlas. Up till August 17, the ratings were recorded.

Many internet users were shocked when the list suddenly appeared. Most foodies were surprised by the rankings since some of the meals on the list are among the most well-known in the nation. The meal at the top, called Dahi Puri, comes from Maharashtra and consists of a hollowed-out puri that is filled with curd and other hot ingredients. The meal is comparable to Pani Puri, another well-known street food.

The second person on the list was Sev from Madhya Pradesh, followed by Dabeli from Gujarat. Bombay Sandwich earned the list’s fourth position. The dish, which has a self-explanatory name, is a sub and is from Mumbai. Again, the fifth place was unexpected since it was taken by the well-known Egg Bhurji.

Dahi Vada grabbed the sixth spot on the list despite being one of the most popular snacks in the nation.

Sabudana Vada of Maharashtra took the seventh position, marking the state’s third appearance on the list. Papri Chaat, which came in at number eight on the list and was followed by Punjab’s Gobi Paratha at number nine, was yet another surprising dish. South Indian dish Bonda claimed the list’s last position.

Many individuals discovered some of their favorite recipes on the list, which caused the list to become popular on social media.
