Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), revealed the “London plan” of the Shehbaz Sharif administration on Monday. This plan intends to ban the PTI, imprison Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Begum, and use the sedition laws to imprison him for the next 10 years.
“So, the whole London plan is now public. They have taken on the roles of judge, jury, and executioner while I was in the prison, all under the excuse of violence. Imran Khan said in a tweet that the current plan is to degrade me by locking Bushra Begum up and using a sedition statute to keep me behind bars for the next 10 years. Notably, when Shehbaz Sharif traveled to London for King Charles’ coronation, he previously chose to prolong his stay by one day at the request of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
The remaining PTI employees and leadership would thereafter face a stern purge, according to Imran Khan.
He made a comparison between the potential ban on his party and the Awami League in what was formerly East Pakistan and is now Bangladesh.
“And ultimately, they will outlaw Pakistan’s only and biggest federal party. He tweeted, “(Just like they banned the Awami League in East Pakistan).
The PTI leader also said that the Shehbaz administration will shut down the internet and outlaw social media.
They have taken two actions to prevent a public backlash. First, they have intentionally terrorized both PTI employees and regular civilians. Second, the media is completely under check and restrained. And social media (which is only partly open) will be banned and internet services will be suspended once again tomorrow, he tweeted.
Khan is anticipated to appear before the Lahore High Court on Monday in connection with the allegations brought against him for setting the Corps Commander’s home on fire and other violent outbursts that followed his detention last week.
The ex-PM also claimed that homes are being broken into and the police are sex-mongering the ladies residing inside.
“Never has the sacredness of chadar and chaar dewaari been defiled in the manner that these criminals are doing it.
This is a deliberate effort to make people afraid to the point where they won’t come out when they arrive to arrest me tomorrow,” he tweeted.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Pakistan Democratic Movement, was quoted as saying, “The JUIF Drama being done outside the SC tomorrow is only for one purpose, to overawe the Chief Justice of Pakistan so that he doesn’t give a verdict according to the constitution.”
He said that such a blatant assault on the Supreme Court had previously occurred in Pakistan in 1997, when PMLN gunmen broke into the building and forcibly removed one of the court’s most esteemed Chief Justices, Sajjad Ali Shah.
In a letter to Pakistani people, Khan said that he would fight for Haqeeqi Azaadi until the very last drop of his blood since, to him, dying was better than being held captive by a variety of criminals.
