According to insiders, the opposition INDIA alliance’s logo would probably be presented during the front’s meeting on August 31 and September 1 in Mumbai.
80 leaders from more than 26 political parties are anticipated to attend the third INDIA alliance conference in the nation’s financial center, according to them.
Currently, 26 parties are a member of the coalition, and a few more are expected to do so during the two-day summit, according to the sources.
According to them, the INDIA alliance logo may be introduced on September 1 before to the start of the day-long discussions.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), now headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, will be challenged by the opposition front known as the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, abbreviated as INDIA, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The first meeting of this opposition group took place in Patna in June, and the second was in Bengaluru last month.
According to reports, the INDIA front’s leaders, including the chief ministers of five states and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, are scheduled to arrive in the city on August 31 before 6 p.m.
On August 31, Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), will host dinner for the distinguished guests at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in suburban Mumbai. They said that the meeting will occur the next day at the same location and would be followed by a news conference.
The state and Mumbai chapters of the Congress party would provide lunch for the opposition leaders, they said.
After the meeting on September 1, reports claim that Congressman Rahul Gandhi may go to the state Congress headquarters, Tilak Bhavan, in the heart of Mumbai.
All of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders, including Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, and Ashok Chavan, are involved in micro-level preparation to ensure that the conference is a success, according to Naseem Khan, a working president of the Maharashtra Congress.
When guests arrive at the hotel, they will get a traditional greeting. As part of the preparations, all leaders have been convening regularly, the speaker stated.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders Aaditya Thackeray and Sanjay Raut, Congress leaders Varsha Gaikwad, Milind Deora, and Naseem Khan, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Narendra Verma, and others were present at the meeting on Sunday.
