There Are Now 57,542 Active Covid Cases In The Nation; In The Last 24 Hours, The Virus Has Claimed 23 Lives

The number of coronavirus infections in India climbed by 10,093, while the number of active cases rose to 57,542, according to figures provided on Sunday by the Union Health Ministry.

23 fatalities have brought the total to 5,31,114.

According to the statistics updated at 8 am, five fatalities were reported from Delhi, three each from Chattisgarh and Rajasthan, two from Karnataka and Maharashtra, one from each of Haryana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand, and four deaths were reconciled by Kerala.

5.61 percent was the daily positivity rate, while 4.78 percent was the weekly positivity rate.

The total number of cases involving Covid was 4.47 crore (4,48,18,115)

According to the Health Ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.68 percent, and the active cases now make up 0.13 percent of all infections.

4,42,29,459 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 percent.

The website of the ministry reports that the country has now received 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the ongoing national immunisation campaign.
