On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew immediately from Greece to Bengaluru, Karnataka, to congratulate ISRO researchers on the success of their Chandrayaan-3 mission.

He went immediately from the Greek capital of Athens to Bengaluru this morning before dawn to congratulate and engage with ISRO scientists working on the Chandrayaan-3 mission to the Moon, according to PTI.

Modi is scheduled to go to Bengaluru to the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), where he will get an update on the status of the nation’s third lunar mission from senior ISRO personnel.

“Arrived at Bangalore. I’m looking forward to speaking with the amazing @isro scientists who have made Chandrayaan-3 a success and brought honor to India! The successes of our country in the space industry are undoubtedly the result of their perseverance and enthusiasm, the PM said in a post on ‘X’.

In congratulating the ISRO on the accomplishment of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, Modi remarked that people across the world who value science and the future are ecstatic about India’s achievements.

On his way back to honor the ISRO scientists, he said he couldn’t help but be the first person to arrive in the city.

“Not only Indians, but people across the globe who believe in science, who see the future, and who are dedicated to humanity, are filled with enthusiasm,” he remarked.

Modi congratulated the Bengaluru residents who had flocked to meet him in such large numbers.

“I see many individuals, even kids, waking up early. “These kids are India’s future,” he said.

After completing his four-day trip to South Africa and Greece, the prime minister came back.

Modi attended the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg from August 22 to 24.

An official said that Modi arrived in Bengaluru right away after his trips to South Africa and Greece.

Modi virtually joined the ISRO crew at Mission Operations Complex (MOX) at ISTRAC on Wednesday evening as the Lander Module of the Chandrayaan-3 mission successfully touched down on the lunar surface. Modi had previously visited the ISRO team in South Africa.

Modi also declared that “Shiva Shakti Point” will be given to the location where the lander “Vikram” made contact with the lunar surface.

He described the achievement of the Chandrayaan-3 mission as a “extraordinary moment” in the history of India’s space program and said that “Tiranga Point” would be the name of the location where the Chandrayaan-2 lander crashed-landed on the surface of the Moon in 2019.

Meanwhile, the PMO has also declared that the location of Chandrayaan-3’s lunar landing would henceforth be referred to as “Shiv Shakti.”
