Torrent Pharma announced on Monday that its earnings after tax for the June quarter increased by 7% to Rs 378 crore.
In the same quarter last year, the business had declared a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 354 crore.
According to a statement from Torrent Pharma, revenue for the first quarter of the current fiscal year increased to Rs 2,591 crore from Rs 2,347 crore in the same time last year.
The pharmaceutical company said that during the quarter, domestic sales increased 14.5% year over year to Rs 1,426 crore.
According to the corporation, its sales increased by 3% and 21%, respectively, in Brazil and Germany.
However, it noted, revenue in the US market fell by 2% to Rs 293 crore.
On the BSE, shares of Torrent Pharma finished 0.49 percent down at Rs 2,051.50 each.
