Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday for disparaging the opposition INDIA coalition by using derogatory terms like “Indian Mujahideen.”

Speaking to Shiv Sena (UBT) members and Sambhaji Brigade members in this location, Thackeray said that the INDIA bloc is made up of groups opposed to those who stifle freedom and democracy.

“When PM Modi meets international leaders overseas, we are proud. Do you interact with them as the Indian Prime Minister or as Indian Mujahideen Pradhan Sevak? He queried.

Thackeray was reacting to the prime minister’s criticism of the opposition coalition INDIA, which said that people cannot be mislead just by the usage of the country’s name by citing detestable names like the East India Company and Indian Mujahideen.

Notably, the Shiv Sena (UBT) will host the third INDIA alliance conference in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1, which is scheduled to take place.

Thackeray criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying it had turned into the party of “ayarams” (turncoats) and that it will now build a “ayaram mandir” as a result of the entrance of politicians from other parties.

In politics, the phrase “Aaya Ram Gaya Ram” alludes to routine floor-crossing, turn-coating, switching parties, and political horse-trading.

“I feel sorry for BJP cadres who must worship ‘aayarams’ inside the organization. Devendra Fadnavis has been appointed as a minister responsible for keeping track of newcomers’ muster records. How much weight will he carry? Thackeray posed a query.

He also made reference to a media story in which Prime Minister Modi reportedly asked National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs to have rakhis tied by Muslim ladies.

Get rakhis tied from Bilkis Bano (the gang rape victim of the 2002 Gujarat communal unrest) and the Manipur ladies who were displayed in public while nude, advised the former chief minister. He also criticized Devendra Fadnavis, a BJP politician and the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, for allegedly making “Aurangzeb ki aulad” statements.

“Aurangzeb’s (Mughal emperor) descendants are in the BJP. In your party (the BJP), Aurangzeb is still alive and actively shattering other political parties…Devendraji. Why, he questioned, are racial tensions in Maharashtra escalating and bringing up Aurangzeb since this administration (headed by Eknath Shinde) took office?

Thackeray said that the BJP is inciting conflict between Shiv Sena and Nationalist Party sections and charged the saffron party of rewriting history to sow social discord.

He also made a subtle jab at Ajit Pawar, a leader of the NCP, who had claimed to have joined the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition in order to promote development.

Even the British had contributed to advancement. We nonetheless insisted that they leave India. The Gateway of India, the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) structure, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station in Mumbai were all built by the British, Thackeray said.
