After he and his son, former state minister Aaditya Thackeray, attended the opposition’s mammoth session in Patna on Friday, former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray came under BJP’s scathing criticism. The BJP charged Uddhav of disrespecting Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray by using Lalu’s and Balasaheb Thackeray’s previous remarks against one other.
“I’m surprised to see Uddhav Thackeray sitting next to Mehbooba Mufti to talk about an alliance. And he had been making fun of us over the same Mehbooba Mufti because of the BJP’s prior partnership with the PDP in the former J&K’, said Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra. “They refer to this partnership as ‘Modi hatao,’ but it is truly ‘parivar bachao. All parties have come together to preserve their families because they now recognise that in 2024, the public would support Prime Minister Modi. A similar effort was attempted in 2019. Nothing took place. They will fail once again, according to Fadnavis.
Lalu’s statement that the Thackerays come from Bihar
Uddhav Thackeray would be known in history as a son who humiliated his father, according to BJP politician Chitra Kishor Wagh, who shared an old video of Lalu Prasad saying the Thackeray family’s origins were in Bihar. “Lalu Prasad previously said that Balasaheb Thackeray was an intruder in Maharashtra and that the Thackeray family originated in Bihar. The BJP leader said, “Today Uddhav Thackeray is among those who questioned Balasaheb Thackerat’s Marathi identity.
“Hear what your dad said about Lalu,”
Chitra Kishor posted the video of Balasaheb Thackeray referring to Lalu Prasad as a “nalayak” with a “mouth full of fodder,” intensifying the criticism of Uddhav Thackeray for attending the meeting on Friday in Patna. Chitra tweeted, “Now you are begging in front of these people.”
