Relief and rescue work is going on by the administration including the search for people. According to the information, there were 30 to 35 people in the boat.
According to reports, this incident of boat accident took place at Maldepur Ganga Ghat in Ballia district. Here people of the same family were going in a boat to participate in the Mundan Sanskar and during that time suddenly the boat overturned. Hearing the screams of the people, the local reached for help. Half a dozen people were taken to the hospital.
According to the information, 20 to 25 people of this accident are still missing and their search is on. Talking about the reason for the boat accident, it is believed that more people were on board than the capacity of the boat. According to the people, the boat was slowly moving forward in the Ganges, but suddenly the balance got disturbed and it sank. Women and children were also on the boat.
In the midst of rescue work, the administration officials are searching for the boatman.
