UP Cop Caught On Camera Stalking, Harassing Schoolgirl; Suspended After Viral Video

One of the chief constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police has been placed on administrative leave after he was seen following a schoolgirl and intimidating her into speaking with him in the Sadar neighborhood of Lucknow. After a video of the accused police officer Shahdat Ali allegedly stalking and harassing a schoolgirl went viral on social media, the girl’s parents filed a complaint, prompting the police action.

 

Shahdat Ali, who is dressed in a khaki uniform and is on a two-wheeler, can be seen trailing a student on a bicycle in the undated footage that went viral on Twitter.

He was followed by a second lady and a videographer. When the lady challenged the officer and demanded to see his license plate, he said that it was an electric car and didn’t have one.Heard saying that he regularly stalks girls in the area is the woman who recorded the video.

DCP Central, Lucknow, said after taking action against the guilty cop, Aparna Kaushik, “Taking fast action, he has been suspended with immediate effect. He is the subject of a case, and further action is being taken.

According to Hirdesh Kumar, DCP East Lucknow, “A case was registered under appropriate sections of the IPC dealing with harassment by a government employee and also provisions of the POCSO Act were imposed on the accused.”

Sadaqat Ali, who is now working in the police control room, was assigned to the PGI neighborhood.
