India is a “vibrant democracy,” according to White House national security communications advisor John Kirby, just two weeks after US President Joe Biden called India “xenophobic.” Asked about the impending general elections in the nation, Kirby remarked, “There are not too many more vibrant democracies in the world than India.”
India is among the world’s most lively democracies. We commend the Indian populace for using their right to vote and participate in forming their future administration. At a press conference, Kirby told reporters, “And we wish them well throughout the process, of course.”
John Kirby continued, “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the India-US relationship has strengthened over the last three years.” He declared, “Our relationship with India is very close and getting closer.”
