The Uttar Pradesh administration said on Wednesday that there is no presence of ISIS, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al Qaeda, ISI, or any other terrorist groups in the state.

ISIS, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al Qaeda, the ISI, and other terrorist organizations no longer have any foothold in Uttar Pradesh, the official said in a statement, thanks to the Anti-Terrorism Squad’s (ATS) ruthless campaign against them. The government also said that in the previous year, the ATS had captured 10 terrorists who were wanted for ransom.
In addition, it said, “ATS has apprehended 21 members of ISIS, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al-Qaeda, ISI, and other terrorist organizations.”

The ATS was successful in apprehending 13 members of the PFI, Rohingya, Bangladeshi, and Naxal extremist groups at the same time. The Yogi administration has also implemented strong anti-fake money measures, according to the statement.

In addition, according to the official release, the UP ATS team detained 15 individuals for providing illegal firearms and 11 persons using illicit SIM boxes within a year.

The state government also criticized the state’s former administration, claiming that “there was a period when terrorist groups supporting Pakistan that were located in UP jeopardized the security of the whole nation. Even worse, the state seen administrations drop charges against terrorists in order to win back their supporter bases. The Azamgarh area of the state was referred to as the “nursery of fear.” But, since six years ago, things have changed, and Azamgarh is now actively contributing to the development of the state.
