Administration is working in full speed to increase the number of Vande Bharat trains in the country. In this episode, Mumbaikars are soon going to get the gift of another train. On Tuesday, the semi-high speed Vande Bhagat Express train was trialled on the Mumbai-Goa route.
Trial run on Mumbai-Goa route
Capable of running at a speed of 180 kmph, the Vande Bharat train left platform number 7 of CSMT in Mumbai at 5:30 am and reached Goa’s Madgaon station at 12.50 pm. Then left Madgaon at around 1.15 pm and reached CSMT at 8:50 pm. Officials said that this train was tested using the rake of CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express as CSMT-Shirdi Vande Bharat Express does not run on Tuesdays.
Journey from Mumbai to Goa will be completed in just 7 hours
Superfast trains running between Mumbai to Goa take over 8 hours to complete the journey. At the same time, when Vande Bharat will start, this journey will be just 7 hours.
Mumbai to get the fourth Vande Bharat
Let us inform that till now three Vande Bharat trains are running in Mumbai, which are running on Mumbai to Gandhinagar, Mumbai to Shirdi and Mumbai to Solapur routes. The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express will be the fourth semi-high-speed train to run from the country’s financial capital Mumbai. Officials say that senior railway officials are exploring the possibility of operating Vande Bharat Express trains on the heavily congested Mumbai-Goa route throughout the year.
Features of Vande Bharat trains
Vande Bharat Express is a high speed train in India. This is the country’s first semi high speed train, which has a maximum speed of 160 km/h. This train is completely designed and manufactured in India, in which 80% of the products were made indigenous. These trains are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These have GPS based information system, CCTV cameras, vacuum based bio toilet, automatic sliding door and four emergency push buttons in each coach.
