But the builders mislead the home buyers. One such big fraud has been disclosed by the Virar police. The five people arrested by the police, not only one or two, but they got 55 buildings built with fake documents. After the action of the police, now the Municipal Corporation has come into action. The Municipal Corporation has started the search of all the divisional officers for the builders who are building with fake documents in their area. Municipal Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kishore Gavas said that strict action will be taken against the builders who have constructed buildings with this forgery.
Let us tell you that in February 2023, the then Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Patil lodged a complaint at the Virar Police Station that the builders had built a building named Rudransh Apartment in Virar East Kopri village with fake documents. The police was probing it. The investigation revealed that the builder Dilip Kailash Benvashi, Machindra Maruti Vanmane, Dilip Anant Adkhale, Prashant Madhukar Patil and Rajesh Ramchandra Naik made fake rubber stamps of District Magistrate Thane, Additional District Magistrate Jawhar, Vasai-Virar Municipality, Nagarrachna, RERA, CIDCO, MMRDA, Tehsildar Vasai, Duyyam Officer Vasai, Bhiwandi, Revenue Department, Gram Sevak, Gram Panchayat, Sarpanch, Talathi, Builders, Architecture, Lawyer, Doctor, Bank, Finance Company and other departments. They use these fake rubber stamps to make fake CC and OC of 55 buildings.
Five hundred fake letter pads of CIDCO and 600 of Municipal Corporation have also been recovered from these accused. The accused have cheated every department through forgery. This forgery was going on for the last fifteen years. Police seized 115 rubber stamps, computers, huge amount of documents, machines, scanners and many other materials from them. Police said that many more cases are likely to be disclosed from the arrested accused. Many well-known builders are expected to be involved in this. Here Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Dr. Kishore Gavas has ordered every divisional officer to check the buildings made with fake documents in his area and take strict action against the builders. Gavas said that this is a big forgery. It will be investigated. Strict action will be taken against the culprits. In Vasai-Virar, hundreds of buildings have been built with fake CC and OC due to the connivance of builders and officials.
