Versova-Virar Sea Link And Wadala-Csmt Metro Will Be Financed By JICA: Fadnavis

Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, stated on Saturday that the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is enthusiastic about funding the Versova-Virar Sea Link and Wadala-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Metro projects in Mumbai.

During his five-day trip to Japan, where he was given the honor of state guest, he visited top government officials, ministers, and the adviser to the prime minister, he told reporters at the airport upon his return.

They expressed enthusiasm for working together on the Versova-Virar Sea Link project. They have asked us to submit a proposal through the Center, according to Fadnavis.

The deputy CM also said that JICA was enthusiastic about supporting the Wadala-CSMT line of the Mumbai Metro.

A Mumbai flood prevention project was also discussed, he said.

Additionally, he discussed investments in Maharashtra with Japanese businesses.

“Efforts are being made to attract Japanese enterprises to Maharashtra because they wish to operate here. All kinds of investments may be brought to Maharashtra, from semiconductors to all kinds of manufacturing, from data centers to artificial intelligence, said Fadnavis.
