At a news conference, Chief Minister Biren Singh also said that bunkers erected along the state’s hill and valley areas would be taken down, and that more state troops had been recruited to ensure security for Meitei and Kuki farmers so that agricultural operations could begin.

According to Singh, “districts were created only for administrative conveniences. We have lived as one and will continue to live as one.”

The chief minister said that agricultural activists must begin, and he said that 2,000 state police officers who were assigned to government officials, ministers, and MLAs had been mobilised.

According to Singh, “They will now protect farmers and deal with mob disturbances.”

A combined security meeting, according to the chief minister, was conducted earlier in the day.

The bunkers positioned around the hill and valley areas will be taken down starting the day after tomorrow, it was determined. To destroy the individual and collective bunkers, the Army would command a coalition of state and paramilitary troops in the centre, he added.

The chief minister said that since the building of pre-fabricated homes is being done on a war footing, those who have been left homeless and residing in relief facilities will be relocated to them within a month.

Additionally, Singh urged all groups from the civil society to cooperate and avoid making inflammatory remarks in order to promote peace in the state.
