Voters In Karnataka Rejected Many Ministers And The Speaker In The Assembly Election

The election results, which were announced on Saturday, showed that a number of incumbent ministers in the Basavaraj Bommai-led BJP cabinet as well as the Assembly Speaker had lost.

Along with Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, they are B Sriramulu, K Sudhakar, JC Madhuswamy, Govind Karjol, MTB Nagaraj, and KC Narayana Gowda.

Bhimanna Naik of the Congress defeated Kageri for the Sirsi seat. In Ballari, B Nagendra of the Congress beat Sriramulu, the Transport Minister, by about 29,300 votes.

In Chikkaballapura, Pradeep Eshwar of the Congress defeated Health Minister K Sudhakar, while in Chikkanayakanahalli, JD(S) candidate CB Suresh Babu defeated Law & Parliamentary Affairs Minister JC Maduswamy.
