NCP chief Sharad Pawar has once again targeted the editorial of Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’. Saamana’s editorial on Monday (May 8) wrote that Sharad Pawar had failed to groom his successor who would take his party forward.
During a media interaction on Tuesday (May 9), Sharad Pawar hit back and said that he does not care what others write about him and those he has groomed have already proved their mettle. According to the media report, while talking to reporters in Satara, Sharad Pawar said, “We do not give importance to what people write, whether we have prepared a successor or not. They will write. It is their right to do so. We ignore it. We know what we are doing. We get satisfaction from it.
Along with this, Pawar did not even spare senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan. Chavan had raised doubts about the behavior of the NCP and its alleged links with the BJP. Sharad Pawar said, “Where does Prithviraj Chavan stand in the Congress.” He said, “My colleagues will tell you personally about Prithviraj Chavan.” But we do not make those views public.
