Went Swimming With Brother, Uncle Jumped As Nephew Drowned In Farm Pond; But It Was Not In The Moment

Yavatmal: A 6-year-old and a 7-year-old child went swimming in a pond adjacent to a farm in Manasal Shivara of Pusad in Yavatmal taluk. The unfortunate incident of suffocation occurred on June 16 in the evening of one of them due to not being able to swim in the water. Cousin uncle who went to rescue his nephew also drowned in water. As Chulat Mama’s body was found late in the night, both of them were admitted to the Upazila Hospital here for autopsy. Then, at 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, both their bodies were handed over to their relatives.

The deceased have been identified as nephew Karan Sukhdev Yerke (aged 7) and cousin uncle Rohidas Rambhau Talakute. According to the information received, there is a pond next to Rambhau Talikute’s farm. 7-year-old Karan and 6-year-old Arjun went to swim in that pond at 4 pm. Karan did not come back after a long time. As Arjun could not swim, he was standing at the edge of the pool. After that, when he got the information that his brother had drowned in the water, he rushed to his mother and maternal uncle. After that, when his uncle came near the lake, he tried to find Karan. Karan was nowhere to be found. He then jumped into the water and tried to find him, but he also drowned. When the relatives came to know that both had drowned in the water, they rushed to the spot.
When they tried to find Karan with the help of the villagers, the body was recovered. Seeing the body of the little boy, his mother and relatives had smashed a Tahoe. Similarly, as Rohidas was found anywhere, the villagers gathered together. After that, the tehsil office was contacted and called to the spot, and the speed of search was increased.

After that, the body of Rohidas was recovered between half past nine in the night. Both of them have been admitted to the Upazila Hospital at Mrityadeh for post-mortem and Mandal Officer Gopal Bhore, Tehsildar Mahadev Jorwar and Naib Tehsildar G. It has been reported that Kadam has sent a report to the government. Since the incident occurred within the limits of the rural police station, a panchnama has been conducted by the police. Six to seven months ago, Karan’s father Sukhdev committed suicide by consuming poison due to mental distress.
